Our Beliefs

Here at Wavepoint Church, we believe that God speaks to each and every one of us. As we pray to the same God and receive his Word, we will also receive the same revelation. Thus instead of a detailed theology that expands throughout both interpretation and belief we hold to these things:

1. Sola Fide(Faith Alone): We believe in salvation through faith alone as stated in Romans 10:9. We believe this is the ONLY qualifier for salvation.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

2. Baptism: We believe in both baptism of water (as Jesus commanded Matthew 28:19) and the baptism of fire (filling of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, Acts 19)

3. The Word (Bible): We believe in the authority of the Bible as the Word of God. We believe it is infallible and divinely inspired. We believe that the Word of God is living and

powerful.

4. Apostles Creed: We believe the apostle’s creed to define the basis of our faith as Christians.

5. Sin Issues: People struggling with sin issues are welcome to be members of our church but will not be placed into leadership. We believe that through sanctification
